Sumitomo is a supplier of automotive, heavy truck and commercial off-road/ag equipment, military and aerospace, general/commercial aviation, rail and transit products. They focus on meeting or exceeding market specifications, such as the aerospace industry's Qualified Parts List (QPL) and those of the US big three automotive as well as all Japanese and European automakers. Additionally, it has many other OEM testing approvals covering a wide range of markets including telecommunications, medical, industrial, space, and water filtration systems. Sumitomo also develops new materials to meet customer requirements as they expand their product lines or extend their product lives to the end customer. In-house engineering in product development and manufacturing at each Sumitomo manufacturing plant allows its expertise and focus to meet customer needs.
